Ya, we get burned out I guess.

Sometimes the programming bug bites me...sometimes I bite the bug.

Hi Jason,

have you access to the "Pre-Release Applications" Forum ? If not, ask the moderators to give you access rights.

No, I didn't know there was such a place Roll Eyes. Have you let the cat out of the bag again Heinz? Who are the Moderators? (Never did pay much attention to the tags on the posts... I guess I should really know that Cheesy)

[Is there excellent stuff worth pestering a mod about in there I might want or need ?]

Thanks, Jason

Joe and I are Mods, though this is more like the Maytag repairman's job around here.
I think this can only be done by Admin rights (Simon), but have asked Joe if he is able to do it by chance as I don't see the option.  Hang tight.

I'm sadly observing this trend. In last few years, the majority of Seti optimizers (except very few of them) went silent after few-to-many fruitful months of successes  Sad

Ithink It'll get much bigger yet, with the optimisations you are trying, and maybe a few from me too if I can consolidate a little Cheesy (and get some more study and work done first!  Grin)

I don't know if anybody is following the latest who? drama over at the Seti NC board, but he's pointed out that the 2.4 source code is not available here.

Anybody know what to do about that?

Pam

Hi There,
I am  Following it quite closely out of interest in new processors really.  It is good Entertainment for sure Cheesy

What to do is an open question.  My personal belief is the 2.4 variants are platform specific (compiler switches)  variants of 2.3S9 .  If you carefully build 2.3S9 to your specific platform it 'should' perform the same speed or faster than 2.4 or 2.4V in my opinion (could be wrong). [The link to that source supplied by Joe is in My thread "First Time Build Try..."]

If you need help getting an initial build to function, the tutorial on this site still applies, and there is help, from me where I can , probably Joe and Others.

...So at least here some source, tutorials, and support are available... So I would suggest what to do is wait... There is no need to get caught up in the angst and hype.  None of the minor proposed code changes warrrant getting too excited In my view...

Jason
